I would hope to see in the next 20 years an integrated transport system, with attractive alternatives to the private car. I think this would be beneficial for society and the environment. The motor car is partly responsible for the decline in amenities in villages because people are happy to use their car to travel to shops, work and entertainment outside of their own village.
Villages are no more than dormitories !!
