My hobby is Railways and on this subject, I think the recent privatisation rushed through by the last government will have to be drastically re-organised.
The companies operating the franchises are already running in to financial difficulties, and the whole structure will need to be ammended so that they own everything, including the track and are relieved of their punative leasing obligations.
